Park Hall Community Association held a very successful Open Evening on Thursday 3 September 2015. Prospecive learners came along and had a chat to our tutors and staff who gave advice and guidance on the wonderful courses we have on offer. If you were unable to attend, please call in or give us a telephone call and we will be happy to help you choose a class to suit your requirements. There a still a few places available on some courses.
The Association has been delivering adult recreation classes and hosting and developing community activities for over 39 years. It is our vision to help you achieve, socialise, learn and be healthy.

THE CIEH LEVEL 2 AWARD IN FOOD SAFETY
This course provides a flexible syllabus which enables training to be tailored to meet specific needs. It is suitable for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
Typical environments may include:
- Pubs, hotels, restaurants
- Supermarkets and retail environments
- Food and drink manufacturers
- Care homes
Why is this training important?
Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and to ensure that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat.
- A firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved;
- An understanding of how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling);
- Confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers.
PHCA will be delivering this course over two half days Friday 20 and Monday 21 November 9.30am - 1pm ( both sessions must be attended to gain certification) cost £45.

Park Hall Christmas Fayre

Park Hall Community Choir - Evening Class 7-9pm Day time friday 11.00am - 1.00pm led by Louise Blackburn. Singers and non-singers welcome. Come along and join the fun. £5.50 payable each week. For more information go to www.voicesentwined.co.uk
Healthy Eating Cookery Class
Come along and join our Healthy Eating Class. This class is aimed at people who do not eat their 'five a day', love their 'fast food' and who do not like to cook. This course is aimed at you! Only 8 places available, so book quickly. The classes areWednesday 10.00am - 12.00pm at a cost of £2.50 per class plus ingredient costs. Learn how to cook wholesome, healthy alternatives. Change your eating habits and save money!!
Take Your Tablet Course.Daytime class on the use of digital hand held technology (Samsung galaxy tablets / Ipads / Hudle / kindles etc) have proved to be very popular. These courses are on a 5 week rolling programme. Next course starting Wednesday 4 November. Spaces are limited, please telephone reception to reserve a place.
Park Hall Playgroup
Park Hall Playgroup was opened in 1972 and was constituted as a registered charity in 1978.
We have up to 24 children, aged 21/2 years to 5 years attending our five sessions, which run from 9.30am - 12.00pm Monday and Friday and 9.30am - 2.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are registered with the Charity Commision as an educational charity.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in November 2012 and graded the quality of both our day-care and nursery education as "good". We are a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and benefit from support from Walsall Early Years Development Partnership.

Please note that all classes are paid for every ten weeks by either cheque or cash. We do not currently take debit cards. However, we are very happy for you to "try before you buy" and pay for one class to make sure it's exactly what you are looking for.
